Exposure to paints and respiratory health ailments among painting workers

Over time, paint chemistry has changed, posing health hazards to house painters. Surveys and interviews scheduled on work profiles determined the exposure solvents in commercial painting. This research paper aims identify respiratory lungs issues among painters due their occupation. With this aim, also explore worker’s experiences with various types of paints regarding implications. The current study is related workers. Subjects for were chosen by use cluster sampling from several places three districts Uttar Pradesh, India. An interview schedule was developed collect relevant maximum information. used a sample size 150 that not pre-determined. All respondents labour class worked paints. A gather information about painters’ demographic profile status. Statistical approaches such as Standard Deviation, ANOVA Pearson’s correlation analysis. revealed are exposed face issues. Majority (50.7%) belongs lower economic status, followed upper (33.3%), only 4% them belong class. We found significant difference between respondent’s age health. data indicates who faced high group 61–75 years, minimum problems observed 19–32 years. shows highly differences groups, problem occurs system result wearing mask significantly associated like cough (p = .004), chest tightness .009), whistling sound .000). perfect positive working year, days, duration different lung identified. association (0.443**) identified years difficulties, indicating workers have prolonged periods more susceptible cough. Moreover, there discomfort during breathing (.340**), week (.195*), (.594**). highlighted risk pain, including problems, cough, discomfort, almost all problems.
